A large crowd attended Federated Rural Electric’s 81st Annual Meeting August 10 at the Martin County West High School gym in Sherburn.
“We had 331 people register with 75 being former Alliant customers as new member-owners,” said Scott Reimer, Federated’s general manager. “We took our Annual Meeting to one of the new communities that we serve and it was great to see so many turn out for their electric cooperative — voting for members who represent their interests.”
Members elected two directors: David Hansen, Jackson, for District Three; and Scott Thiesse, Welcome, for District 4. On the Nominating Committee Jim Bretzman, Jr, Lakefield, was elected for District 1; while Richard Erickson, Lakefield.
