The Edgerton Flying Dutchmen continued to show their dominance over HLO. The Dutchmen ended the Lady Wildcats season last Tuesday, May 24th with a final score of 1-11 in 5 innings. Liz Buckridge earned the win for E/SWC. She went all 5 innings and collected 6 strikeouts. Ida Rogers-Ferguson was handed the loss for HLO.
HLO would be the first to strike. In the top of the 3rd Ida Rogers-Ferguson ripped a single to center field. She advanced to 2nd on a wild pitch. Megan Haberman put the ball in play and reached on a Dutchmen miscue. Rogers-Ferguson scored the lone run of the game for the Wildcats on a Madison Leighty rbi. HLO was unable to hold off the power hitting Dutchmen.
The Ductchmen put up 4 runs in the bottom of the 3rd to go ahead with a 4-1 lead. Edgerton continued to rack up the runs adding 6 more runs in the bottom of the 4th inning. They added one more run in the 5th inning to finish out the game.
The Wildcats were led by Ida Rogers-Ferguson who was 2-3 at the plate. Tessla Crowell and Jessica VanWesten each chipped in a hit for the Wildcats.
The Wildcats close out the season with a 4-12-1 record.
