RECEIPT AND OPENING OF PROPOSALS: Sealed proposals for the work described below will be received at the Office of the City Clerk, City of Heron Lake, 312 Tenth Street, Heron Lake, MN 56137-0315 until 1:00 p.m. on August 26, 2016 at which time the bids will be opened and publicly read.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work includes the construction of approximately:
• Remove Riprap 1 LS
• Remove Control Structures & Piping 1 LS
• Remove Fence 3,700 LF
• Aggregate Base, CL 5 2,550 TON
• Aggregate Resurfacing, CL 2 2,375 TON
• Stabilization Pond Riprap and Geotextile Fabric 1 LS
• Stabilization Pond Control Structures & Piping 1 LS
• 10” Forcemain 1,640 LF
• 12” Sanitary Sewer 499 LF
• Construct Fence 3,900 LF
• Lift Station 1 LS
• Lift Station Upgrade 1 LS
• Seeding 1 ACRE
together with numerous related items of work, all in accordance with Plans and Specifications. This project is subject to Prevailing Wage Rates, Buy American Iron and Steel Provisions, and Responsible Contractor Certification.

BID SECURITY: A certified check or proposal bond in the amount of not less than 5 percent of the total amount bid, drawn in favor of City of Heron Lake shall accompany each bid.
OWNER’S RIGHTS RESERVED: The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract to other than the lowest bidder if, in their discretion, the interest of the Owner would be best served thereby.
