The Police Department has received reports of election sign’s being tampered with inside City Limits of Heron Lake. This is not a game, It is a crime to steal or remove an elections sign (Theft 609.52) and (Criminal Damage to Property. 609.595) penalties can range up to felony level. Any parties caught tampering with, or destroying campaign signs will be prosecuted. The Police Department is asking for anyone with information regarding the identity of whom is tampering with signs in town to please contact the Heron Lake Police.
