12:46 PM Deputies assisted the Lakefield PD with a search warrant at a residence in Lakefield.
6:23 PM Deputies investigated a shoplifting report at Casey’s in Jackson. A citation was issued to a juvenile for shoplifting.
7:46 PM Deputies assisted the MN State Patrol with a driving complaint on I-90 near MN 86. A vehicle was reported to have struck several construction cones in the construction zone. Deputies located the vehicle and made a traffic stop after observing suspicious driving behavior. A 22 year old male from Kasson, MN was arrested on suspicion of DUI – Controlled Substance.
8:35 PM A citation was issued to a driver for Fail To Move Over – Parked Emergency Vehicle on I-90 in Wisconsin Township.
9:29 PM Deputies investigated a report of yelling coming from a residence in Jackson. When deputies arrived, it was determined that there was an argument between the home owner and a guest. The guest had already left before the arrival of deputies and no crime had been committed.
8-2 Tuesday
7:31 AM Deputies investigated a one vehicle rollover accident on 560th Avenue 1/2 mile north of 850th St (CR 22). A 2003 Chevy Impala rolled multiple times into a bean field on the east side of 560th Avenue. The vehicle was totaled. There were no occupants at the scene when deputies arrived. The matter remains under investigation.
8:21 AM Deputies investigated a reported domestic disturbance in Alba Township. That investigation led to the discovery of a one vehicle accident that occurred sometime the previous night also in Alba Township. A 62 year old male was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

12:11 AM Deputies investigated an accident involving a vehicle that struck a dog on MN 86 in Hunter Township.
7:09 PM The K-9 Unit assisted the Windom PD with a traffic stop and K-9 sniff request.

7:04 AM Deputies issued a citation for No MN DL on CR 8 in Petersburg Township.
12:59 PM Deputies arrested a 29 year old male from Jackson on a Dakota County warrant.
6:15 PM Deputies investigated what was reported by neighbors as a disturbance at a residence in Jackson. After investigating, deputies determined there was no disturbance.

9:01 AM Deputies investigated a junk vehicle ordinance violation in Jackson.
10:21 AM Deputies recovered a stolen trailer in a bean field in Christiana Township. The trailer was stolen from GDF Enterprises, Windom.
8:40 PM Deputies assisted the Jackson Ambulance with a medical call in Jackson.
9:11 PM Deputies assisted the MN State Patrol with a driving complaint on US 71 in Des Moines Township.
10:48 PM Deputies investigated the report of a driver consuming alcohol while at a drive-thru at a Jackson restaurant. After investigating, a 53 year old male from Gowrie, IA was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

1:35 AM Deputies assisted a motorist with vehicle problems on I-90 at Jackson.
3:38 AM Deputies investigated suspicious activity on Ashley Street near the Jackson City Hall. A citation for Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana was issued to an 18 year old male from Jackson.
10:21 AM Deputies assisted the Worthington Ambulance with a medical call in Round Lake Township.
5:59 PM Deputies investigated a dog at large in Jackson.
7:39 PM Deputies investigated a one vehicle accident in Hunter Township. The matter remains under investigation.
10:21 PM Deputies investigated a report of a vehicle in a creek in Enterprise Township. An unoccupied 1989 Chrysler LeBaron owned by Keagan Barrett of Emmetsburg, Iowa was located in Elm Creek. A Jackson County bridge received heavy damage.
10:24 PM Deputies investigated the report of fireworks at Robertson Park.

9:17 AM Deputies assisted Windom Towing with traffic control in removing a vehicle from Elm Creek in Enterprise Township.
2:51 PM Deputies investigated a parking complaint on Ashley Street.
3:21 PM Deputies investigated a report of harassment in Jackson.
4:48 PM Deputies investigated a report of animal neglect in Jackson.
4:57 PM Deputies arrested a 35 year old male from Jackson on a Jackson County warrant. Charges are also pending for Fleeing a Peace Officer on Foot after the male ran from a Jackson residence and was later apprehended after a foot pursuit. The case will be forwarded to the County Attorney’s Office for review for a possible Aiding an Offender charge.

11:48 AM Deputies investigated an issue over the sale of a trailer and the title. It was determined to be a civil matter.
6:29 PM Deputies investigated a report of a possible over the limit of fish violation at Clear Lake. Three fishermen were checked and no violations were discovered.
6:33 PM Deputies investigated a driving complaint in Minneota Township.

3:34 PM Deputies investigated a domestic abuse report in Jackson.
3:34 PM Frontier Communications reported $3,000 worth of damage to a telephone line box near the intersection of 810th Street and 480th Avenue. A vehicle is suspected to have hit the box and left the scene without reporting it.
4:08 PM Deputies investigated a driving complaint in Jackson.
5:23 PM Deputies assisted a party with questions on how to obtain an Order For Protection.
6:39 PM Deputies forwarded a report of a possible intoxicated driver near the Nobles County line to the Nobles County Sheriff’s Office.
10:24 PM Deputies investigated a suspicious vehicle that was reported to be on a township road in Minneota Township. Deputies responded and were unable to locate it.

11:31 AM Deputies investigated a scam phone call received by a Jackson resident from a caller claiming to be from “Nobles County Courts”.
4:08 PM Deputies responded to River Street in Jackson for a report of barricades that were struck by a vehicle and pushed onto the walking path.
5:04 PM Deputies responded to a Jackson residence for a report of a possible BB gun hole in a house window.
10:02 PM Deputies investigated a possible harassment case in Jackson.

10:16 AM Deputies assisted the MN State Patrol with a one vehicle accident on I-90 east of Jackson.
12:38 PM Deputies investigated a property damage report that was determined to be a civil issue in Wisconsin Township.
5:39 PM Deputies investigated a one vehicle accident on County Road 15 in Delafield Township. The driver reportedly swerved to miss an oncoming pickup and ended up in the ditch. No damage to the vehicle.
5:41 PM Deputies responded to a residence in Jackson for a report of a sick woodchuck running in circles in the driveway.
6:35 PM Deputies investigated a two vehicle accident on Main Street near Sherman Street in Jackson. A 2012 Ford Fusion that was exiting a parking stall collided with a 2003 Oldsmobile Silhouette that was travelling north. Light damage to both vehicles.
8:48 PM Deputies conducted a traffic stop for Fail To Stop at Stop Sign at 4th Street and North Highway. After investigating, a 26 year old male from Alpha was arrested for Driving After Cancellation – Inimical To Public Safety.

10:02 AM Deputies impounded an abandoned Piper Spinner dirt bike in Jackson.
2:16 PM Deputies investigated a deceased dog with a collar that was found by a resident in Enterprise Township in a ditch. It appears that dog was dumped at that location by an unknown individual the previous night.
3:44 PM Deputies investigated a domestic disturbance in Jackson. A 38 year old male from Jackson was arrested for Domestic Assault.

9:41 AM Deputies impounded a loose coon hound in Jackson.
10:00 AM Deputies assisted the MN State Patrol with cattle in the ditch along I-90 in Rost Township.
10:04 AM Deputies investigated a check fraud case in Jackson.
1:23 PM Deputies conducted a traffic stop on US 71 in Jackson. After investigating, a 42 year old male from Blaine was cited for Driving After Revocation, Open Bottle, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The male was also arrested for a felony warrant out of Hennepin County for Possession of Cocaine.
